Water Monitoring

The Riverkeeper is on the water 3-4 days a week, every week of the year looking for evidence of pollution issues and testing water quality parameters. In cooperation with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, JRA has established a network of volunteer monitors who work closely with the Riverkeeper to monitor 41 sites in the watershed. The goal is to keep constant watch over all 340 miles of the James River.
